Ellie Sohn is a published writer and poet, who at the same time loves to speak in front of big crowds. Despite many words to describe herself, she believes that the words above fit best. She has created this website as in terms to share her poems, talk about social issues, share stories, and spread awareness.
Helping Others
Ellie wants to work towards making events to help people in her community. She is a board member of Extempify, offering free coaching for students hoping to learn Speech and Debate. For example, collecting donations and giving them to first line workers, the homeless, or shelters. She also wants to post reviews about small businesses to support them, and help them grow. Lastly, she wants to spread awareness about BIPOC community's sufferings and other social issues.

A Social Story Network
Ellie knows that everyone has their own stories, hardships, happiness's to share with others. For everyone who needs someone to listen to their story, they can anonymously submit their own news. Ellie would put up these news/stories on her website, with her own response. Hopefully this would be space for people to vent out their feelings, and to leave feeling connected and understood. Others could also comment encouragements on these posts.
